Waitlisting

Definition and Eligibility

When a course reaches maximum capacity, students may elect to join a waitlist. The waitlist serves as an automated queue that fills vacancies in the order they occur. Priority within the waitlist is determined strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Availability and Duration

Waitlisting is available for most courses. Students may add themselves to a waitlist at any time during the registration period until the start of the second week of class. Once the second week of class begins, the waitlist period concludes, and any further enrollment must follow the standard "Adding Courses" policy.

Enrollment Responsibility

Placement on a waitlist does not guarantee enrollment for the course. Students are responsible for monitoring their status and responding to any notifications sent to their official university email regarding available openings within the designated timeframe. Detailed procedures and instructions are maintained by the Office of the Registrar.
