Examines slavery in the Americas from the Atlantic perspective (including Africa and Europe) from the Fifteenth Century until abolition, with special emphasis on the slave trade, the plantation system, daily life, slavery and race, resistance, the Haitian Revolution, and abolition in the Americas.
