Covers the writing, research, layout and design of the campus newspaper, “The Eagle” for first year students. Teaches computer-assisted reporting and utilizes four computer programs within the framework of the class. Emphasizes the interview, research and copy preparation of news, viewpoints, features, arts and entertainment and sports. Prepares students to enter the day-to-day print world of the communication field.
