CEE 4300 - Engineering Soil Mechanics

4 credits

Physical and mechanical properties of soils. Topics include: classification, permeability, soil stresses and settlement analysis, soil strength, slope stability, lateral earth pressures, introduction to foundations, numerical solutions, and computer applications.

Prerequisite/Restriction: ENGR 2140  and CEE 3500  (may be taken concurrently) and student must be in the Professional Engineering Program.
