PHYS 3550 - Intermediate Classical Mechanics
3 credits
Newton’s laws of motion, work and energy, systems of particles, Lagrange’s and Hamilton’s equations, accelerated reference frames, central force problem, harmonic oscillations, and rigid body rotations.
Prerequisite/Restriction: PHYS 2710 (may be taken concurrently); MATH 2210 ; MATH 2250 (may be taken concurrently).
