The BFA is a professional art degree requiring above-average accomplishment in art. Only students demonstrating considerable promise will be accepted for this more demanding professional degree program. This degree requires 78 semester credits in Art courses, leaving 42 credits to fulfill all other General Education and University Studies requirements. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required for the BFA degree. A grade of B- or better is required in all art (ART) and art history (ARTH) classes. Courses may not be taken on a pass/fail basis, except ART 3710  and ART 4915 . This degree fulfills the requirements for entrance into graduate schools of art.

Students must complete the General Education Requirements .

Students must also complete the University Studies Depth Requirements .
