NOTES: The highest math requirement for this degree is STAT 1040: Introduction to Statistics (QL)  or STAT 1045: Introduction to Statistics with Elements of Algebra (QL)  or STAT 2000: Statistical Methods (QI)  or AP STAT with passing score. All major courses must be taken for a letter grade. HEP courses require a C- or better.

Health Education and Promotion Core Requirements (36 credits)


A grade of C- or better is required in all HEP-prefix courses required for the major. An overall GPA of 2.75 is required to graduate in Health Education and Promotion: Community Health. Major coursework may not be taken pass/fail, including major electives. Any of the following statistics courses is a prerequisite for select courses in the major: STAT 1040 , STAT 1045 , STAT 2000  or AP STAT with passing grade.

Elective Courses (select 6 credits, including at least one course from two of the following three areas)


Students must complete 6 credits of elective courses, taking at least one course from two areas (Human Nature, Content and Methods in Education, and Organizational Dynamics in the Family and Community).
