Undergraduate students must matriculate (be accepted) to the program. Matriculation is based on completion of required core courses along with a portfolio of work. Matriculation portfolios will be submitted spring of the student’s sophomore year.
Students must have the following to submit a portfolio to be matriculated into the Outdoor Product Design and Development major:
- Overall 2.5 GPA
- Overall 3.0 GPA in required core courses
- Minimum grade of C or better in the following courses: FCSE 1040 , FCSE 2040 or TEE 2030 , OPDD 1000 , OPDD 1050 , OPDD 1100 , OPDD 1700 , OPDD 1750 , OPDD 2420 , OPDD 2430 , TEE 1010 , TEE 1030 , TEE 1200
- Minimum grade of C- or better in the Quantitative Literacy (QL) course

Minimum grades of C are required for all required core courses.

Other Requirements:
Students will need access to the following software programs by either purchasing their own or using a campus computer lab. It is strongly suggested that they meet with faculty before purchases are made as changes could occur.

- Rhinoceros 3-D

OPDD Quantitative Literacy (QL) and Breadth Physical Sciences (BPS) Requirements
The Quantitative Literacy (QL) course requires a grade of C- or better.
