The Mental Health Advocacy and Awareness Minor prepares educators, direct care providers in treatment facilities, human resource personnel, nurses, law enforcement, and others to more effectively interact with individuals with mental health needs - including knowing where and when to refer individuals for appropriate services. Students are required to have a 3.0 on all minor coursework with a minimum of C grade acceptable for credit in the minor.
