I. University Studies (36-37 credits)
Communications Literacy (6 credits)
At least 1 course C+ or better needed to apply to Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP).
Quantitative Literacy (3-4 credits)
Grade of C- or better in selected course needed to apply to STEP.
Breadth Requirement (18 credits)
C grades or higher in BLS, BPS, and BSS to apply to STEP.
B. Depth Education (6 credits)
Requires 1 DHA course and 1 DSC course.
C. Quantitative Intensive (3 credits)
II. History (24 credits)
All courses C or better need for STEP.
World History (9 credits)
American History (9 credits)
History Electives (6 credits)
Must be 3000-level or higher and at least 3 credits should be from the following:

All courses C or better needed for STEP.
IV. Economics (6 Credits)
All course C or better need for STEP.
V. Political Science (9 Credits)
All courses C or better needed for STEP.
VI. Anthropology and Sociology

VIII. Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP) (41 credits)
To begin the admission process to STEP, students should see their advisor at least two semesters before they begin Level 1 coursework. Minimum 3.0 GPA overall is required for admission.
