The Associate of Arts in Theatre (AA) provides motivated students with a well-rounded liberal education, as well as training and experience in the areas of technical theatre production, basic design, and performance which will prepare them to enter the entertainment workforce or to pursue a BA or BFA degree in theatre arts. Students will follow the current USU Department of Theatre Arts core curriculum, completing this degree track in a two-year time span.
Note: The AA requirement may be awarded through successful completion of one foreign language course at the 1020-level or higher (or its equivalent). Please see your advisor and General Catalog for additional information.

Theatre Production Requirements:
- All students audition for every show. Students have the option of a technical assignment rather than an acting role.
- Assist in Box Office or Front of House duties on one show per year. Students may request this assignment, or it may be assigned by the faculty.
- Students may request a technical assignment, or it may be assigned by the faculty.
- All students are required to attend production work calls. Calls are posted on the Call Board and announced via social media.
- All students are required to attend show strikes.
Program Requirements:
- Minimum Overall GPA for completion: 2.75
- Minimum Grade Accepted for completion: B- in all theatre courses
- Minimum Credits for completion: 60
