Leadership and Diplomacy - Certificate of Proficiency

This certificate helps provide a multidisciplinary foundation that fosters greater awareness, knowledge, and skills for becoming more effective community leaders, communicators, and problem solvers with a focus on either the domestic or global level.

Leadership and Diplomacy Certificate Requirements (21 credits)
- Minimum GPA for Admission: 2.5
- Cumulative Minimum GPA in Certificate Coursework for Graduation: 2.5
- Cumulative Number of Required Credits: 21
- Students must select 1 of 2 academic tracks: Domestic or Global
- CAPSTONE: a domestic or international internship
- Courses may not be taken on a pass/fail basis except for those courses which are only taught pass/fail
Track 1: Domestic Leadership and Diplomacy
Students in this track must take the following core courses from the list of options: 1 Political Science course (3 credits), 1 Communication Studies course (3 credits), one Careers/Leadership seminar course (1 credit) and participate in a domestic internship (2 credit minimum), for a total of 9 credits.
