Program Information:

Are you ready for an adventure? The Outdoor Adventure Leadership (OAL) emphasis will prepare you to step into an entry-level position in the booming outdoor recreation industry in Utah and beyond. The OAL emphasis will expose you to industry skills and opportunities. USU RAM Alumni are making their mark in a wide range of settings, from USU Outdoor Programs, and Bridgerland Adventure Park to Deer Valley Ski Resort, and Outward Bound. Through courses designed to get you “out-there” you will be ready to take on exciting jobs in land, water, and air-based adventures. Plus, with nearly three-quarters of Utah residents participating in outdoor recreation each year, there is no shortage of opportunities to explore the state’s incredible public lands and make a difference in the $12.3 billion Utah outdoor recreation industry. Graduates of the program will be capable of leading, programming, directing, planning, designing, managing, and administering recreation experiences in a variety of settings. A 2.0 overall GPA is required for graduation.

Admissions Requirements for this Program

New freshmen Admitted to USU in Good Standing

 

Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU 2.5 Overall GPA

 

Once, admitted, students are required to earn a C or better grade in all required RAM-prefix courses.

Pass/Fail grading is not allowed for required major courses, excluding the PE-prefix ones.

A 2.0 Overall GPA is required for graduation.
