Unmanned Aircraft Systems - Minor

This minor prepares students to complete the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Commercial Drone Pilot certification. Students develop a working knowledge of design, maintenance, control of unmanned aircraft systems and learn how small UAS skills can enhance other majors and careers. A minimum grade of C- is required for minor courses. To declare the minor a student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. This minor requires 12 credits.

Required Courses (6-7 credits)
Ideally, students will register for UAS 1010 and UAS 1020 in the same semester. After completion, register for UAS 2050 . Only students with FAA Part 61 Exam are eligible to register for UAS 3020 .
Elective Courses (6 credits)
Students must select six credits from the following (courses completed as a required course may not be used as an elective).
Be aware that some of the classes below have required pre- or co-requisites.
