An Aviation Dispatch minor equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage flight operations, including flight planning, weather analysis, and air traffic coordination. Graduates will earn their FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification, allowing them to legally dispatch commercial flights and share operational control with airline captains. This credential not only opens doors to careers in airline operations but also serves as a strong foundation for leadership roles in aviation management and flight safety. To be eligible for an Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate, a person must be at least 23 years of age. Applicants can be 21 years old to take the FAA written dispatch & practical exam, and will be issued a Letter of Aeronautical Competency that can be forwarded to the FAA upon turning 23.
