About this Degree

The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) verification statement certificate program is intended for individuals who have a bachelor’s degree and are working to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Upon completion of the courses in the certificate program, the individual will receive a DPD verification statement which will qualify them to apply to a dietetics supervised practice program of their choice.

Admission Requirements for this Program

Prior to acceptance into the DPD post-bachelor’s certificate program, the applicant must have taken the following courses within the last 10 years and received a C- or better grade. An overall GPA of at least 3.0 is required.

  • General Chemistry

  • Organic Chemistry

  • Biochemistry

  • Introduction to Human Nutrition

  • Human Physiology or Human Anatomy

  • Nutrition Throughout the Lifecycle

  • Principles of Statistics

  • General Psychology

  • Food Literacy / Culinary Basics

  • Medical Terminology
