About this Degree
The Equine Science and Management BS degree includes the core scientific disciplines of animal science while focusing on the biological, behavioral, and management principles central to the equine industry. Students gain a broad understanding of current scientific applications in equine health, performance, welfare, and management practices.
Students in this program will not only explore these areas in the classroom, but will also engage in applied experiences in areas such as equine nutrition, reproduction and physiology, behavior and training, facility and herd management, and equine industry operations.
