About this Degree
Geography is concerned with the relationship between people and place and why place matters, the spatial patterns of human activity, and the processes underlying those patterns, and the linkages among places in a globalizing world. The MS in Geography provides a geographic and geospatial perspective on socio-environmental systems and human-environment interactions. The personalized program of study includes both Plan A (thesis) and Plan B (paper/project) options. For additional degree information, see the program page on the Department of Environment and Society Website. Students may complete the Graduate Specialization in Climate Adaptation Science as a part of this degree.
