About this Degree

The Latin American Studies Minor is housed across several departments in the College of Arts & Sciences. The curriculum provides students with an interdisciplinary introduction to Latin American Studies and Latinx Studies, enabling students to develop multicultural literacy and intercultural competence skills that are valuable in globalized contexts and in a wide range of careers. Students will enhance their understanding of the historical, political, economic, cultural, and sociological aspects of the countries and peoples of Latin America. Students may choose from electives taught in English, and/or Spanish, and/or Portuguese languages.
