Public Relations, Social Media and Journalism - BA, BS

An emphasis is required in one of the following:

• Integrated Public Relations & Social Media

• Journalistic Writing

• Media/News Production

• Science Communication

The major in Public Relations, Social Media, and Journalism (JCOM) prepares students for careers in a wide range of communication fields. Students develop knowledge and skills in such areas as information gathering, writing, video production, online journalism, and media literacy.

The full program is available to students on any Utah State University campus as well as those studying partially online.

Students receive a by completing all required courses in the major. To receive a BA, students must also gain proficiency in one or more foreign languages.
