About this Degree

The Certificate in Drones for Natural Resource and Environmental Management combines remote sensing and geographic information science (GIS) courses offered by the Department of Environment and Society with basic coursework for operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS, or drones) offered by the Department of Aviation Technology. Students who complete this certificate can use UAS/drones (and the data they can help collect) for application to environmental and natural resource management and decision-making.

This certificate can be combined with the program and/or the certificate in program The addition of this certificate or any of the other geospatial certificates complements a bachelor's degree in many different fields, including all those connected to natural resources, environmental science or studies, sustainability, agriculture, and planning. The knowledge and skills provided support job placement and career success.

Admission Requirements for this Program
