About this Minor
The Organizational Communication minor at USU is designed to help students develop a specific set of communication skills to effectively engage in all kinds of organizations, including collaboration, decision-making, conflict, leadership, etc.
This minor is designed to:
Increase your communication competence in workplace settings.
Help you understand and explain how communication can positively shape and improve organizations.
Improve your ability think through communication challenges and come up with effective solutions.
To declare an Organizational Communication minor, students need to contact the department academic advisor.
Students receive a minor by completing twelve Communication Studies (CMST) credits in the required categories. Please make sure to consult regularly with your departmental advisor to confirm what courses will be available and to work out your plan of study.
Admitted and current students are encouraged to meet with the academic advisor for the program.
Once declared, log on to Degree Works to check student-specific program progress.

New freshmen must be admitted to USU in Good Standing.
Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU must have a 2.5 GPA.
