About this Degree
Students in Arabic learn linguistic, communication, critical thinking, and cultural competency skills, gaining a competitive edge in career paths in diplomacy, intelligence, national security, global business, NGOs and non-profits, healthcare, engineering, international development, translation and interpretation, and education. Students develop a deeper understanding of cultures across the Arabic speaking world, through the study of texts, traditions, media and more. Cultural activities, free tutoring, and an active student club, as well as many scholarship and study abroad opportunities, are available for students of Arabic at USU. Students with higher language proficiency and prior language experience, who test out of lower-division language courses at USU, may potentially complete degree requirements much faster.
