About this Degree
Sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior.
Students receive a BS by completing all required courses in the major. To receive a BA, students must gain proficiency in one or more foreign languages.

The highest math requirement for this degree is the Quantitative Literacy (QL) course of the student’s choice.
Admission Requirements for this Program
New freshmen: Admission to USU in Good Standing with an overall USU GPA of 2.5
Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU: 2.5 GPA
Complete course and at least one other SOC-prefix class with a grade of C or better.
