1. To promote safety and cost awareness in the proper setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of planting and tillage equipment.
2. To develop a theoretical understanding in the application and adaptation of this equipment for various crops and methods.
3. To train the student in the techniques of proper trouble shooting, encompassing failures and maladjustment of the different machines.
4. To develop an understanding in what this equipment is presently designed to do and the changes that have taken place in the requirements of the machines related to GPS guidance and variable rate application.
