Course Learning Outcomes

1. Identify the dimensions of adult learning (e.g., experience or prior learning, body and spirit or holistic learning, adult motivation for learning, and cognition processes involved with learning)
2. Apply research-based learning theories to construct meaningful instruction, and how to adapt those to different audiences in formal and non-formal settings by designing lessons that bridge theory and practice.
3. Reflect and evaluate how their learn and teach—what experiences shape your teaching practice including your own biases and mental frames for formal and non-informal settings- and construct their own vision/philosophy of learning.
