Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of FAA regulations, airspace classification, and operating procedures applicable to private pilot operations. 

  2. Explain fundamental principles of flight, aircraft systems, and aerodynamics as they relate to aircraft performance and control. 

  3. Interpret aviation weather reports, forecasts, and charts to make informed go/no-go and in-flight decisions. 

  4. Apply navigation, flight planning, and weight-and-balance procedures using appropriate tools, charts, and calculations. 

  5. Identify and apply aeronautical decision-making (ADM) and risk management principles to promote safe and responsible flight operations.

  6. Demonstrate readiness to pass the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Exam in accordance with the Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS).
