Course Learning Outcomes


1. Understand and communicate in writing fundamental wildlife ecology concepts, laws, and processes, particularly as related to how humans impact and are impacted by wildlife across different contexts.
2. Use an understanding of science as a process and of the fundamentals mentioned above to investigate wildlife ecology questions and interpret and evaluate information related to wildlife ecology issues.
3. Examine, reflect on, and develop informed perspectives about real-world wildlife issues using a social-ecological systems lens that considers ethical and historical factors, different voices, context-specific conditions, ecological consequences, and social constraints and controversies.
4. Propose viable strategies for coexisting sustainably with wildlife.
