Course Learning Outcomes
1. Describe the roles, responsibilities, and ethical standards of professionals working in community health settings. Identify major career pathways in community and public health, including roles in government, nonprofit, clinical, and advocacy settings.
2. Compare and contrast key theoretical models used in community health (e.g., Social Ecological Model, Health Belief Model, Transtheoretical Model) and explain their relevance to professional practice.
3. Analyze how personal values, interests, and skills align with various career opportunities in the community health field.
4. Evaluate the competencies and qualifications required for entry-level positions in community health and develop a strategy to build relevant experience.
