Course Learning Outcomes

1.   Explain the acute physiologic responses to a single bout of exercise and the chronic adaptations resulting from regular training.
2.   Describe the mechanisms of energy metabolism within muscle fibers and explain how the respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine, and muscular systems interact during exercise.
3.   Apply physiological principles to develop or evaluate fitness, wellness, weight-management, and training programs.
4.   Interpret physiological test data and effectively communicate findings through written reports and a research-article presentation.
