KIN4200 - Biomechanics (QI) - 4 - Credits
Kinesiology and Health ScienceCollege of Education & Human Services
Course Learning Outcomes
1. To be able to explain core concepts in biomechanics (e.g. kinematics vs. kinetics, scalars vs. vectors)
2. To be able to describe human motion numerically (e.g. apply Newton’s laws to describe motion and interactions and related concepts)
3. To be able to define and calculate stress/strain; determine modulus, yield points and related concepts and apply these ideas to human tissues
4. To be able to describe how biomechanical skills are useful to a range of professions
