MATH6070 - Mathematical Modeling for Educators - 3 - Credits

Mathematics & StatisticsCollege of Arts & Sciences

Course Learning Outcomes

1. Explain classical models across applied mathematics such as, population models, epidemiology, and predator-prey models.
2. Use mathematics to analyze, interpret, validate, and predict situations across various mathematical contexts (e.g., number and operation, ratio and proportion, data reasoning, geometry, algebra, and calculus), and various real-world contexts (e.g., use mathematics to address socio-critical, social-justice, and environmental issues).
3. Use technology to analyze and communicate the models developed.
4. Reflect on the modeling process and appreciate its real-world problem-solving applications.
