Determine nutrient recommendations & needs associated with different life stages.
Discuss the impact of biological, socioeconomic, cultural, and psychological factors on eating behavior.
Explain the role of nutrition relative to the promotion of health & prevention of chronic disease for each stage of the life cycle.
Become acquainted with nutrition-specific community programs and resources in the United States.
Describe common nutrition-related medical conditions and concerns of each stage of the life cycle and appropriate interventions and assessment methods.
Develop specific knowledge and skills needed by professionals in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
Learn to appropriately evaluate dietary intakes for individuals at different life cycle stages.
Evaluate and correctly interpret peer-reviewed literature related to nutrition.
