Course Learning Outcomes
Discuss the need for nutrition education and identify factors affecting the provision of effective nutrition education and counseling.
Plan, implement, and deliver oral and PowerPoint presentations using appropriate educational principles and strategies, behavioral theories/objectives, teaching methods/technology, and evaluation techniques.
Describe effective communications with individuals and groups while considering physiological, psychological, social, cultural and economic factors.
Determine how and when to implement and utilize different teaching and delivery methods, communication skills, and visual aids.
Explain the benefits, considerations, and science behind Intuitive Eating and the Health-at-Every-Size® approach.
