Course Learning Outcomes
1. Develop the ability to incorporate evidence-based practice, research and nursing judgment into client care.
2. Advocate for the protection of human subjects in research and incorporate holistic principles while applying research and evidence-based practice in client care.
3. Develop a culture of safety while applying research and evidence-based practice in client care.
4. Employ information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error and support research and evidence-based practice in client care.
5. Maximize accountability in nursing practice while adhering to legal and ethical principles when applying evidence-based care and research in client care.
6. Appraise leadership and advocacy skills in client care. Support patient decision–making and use research and evidence-based practice to help patients be well informed with their decision-making.
7. Use evidence-based practice and research for health promotion, and disease prevention in client care.
8. Integrate evidence, clinical judgment, interprofessional perspectives and patient preferences in planning, implementing and evaluating outcomes of respectful care.
