Course Learning Outcomes

1. To evaluate debates among historians in regard to Jewish-Muslim interaction in the medieval and modern Middle East.
2. To apply appropriate methods of research and argumentation to questions concerning the encounter of Judaism and Islam.
3. To analyze key primary and secondary sources to differentiate between historical facts and historical interpretations.
4. To write critically about the complex nature of past experiences to explain how Jews and Muslims have existed and coexisted in particular historical periods.
