  1. Gain professional experience working with students with disabilities in school and clinic settings.

  2. Provide exposure to the field of special education.

  3. Experience the day to day reality of teaching in special education.

  4. Acquire basic principles of effective instruction and behavior managment.

  5. Provide exposure to students with disabilities in the early years of the college experience.

  6. Explore the field of special education (e.g. disability characteristics, special education law, etc.).
