Course Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate adequate (meta)linguistic skills necessary to provide effective reading instruction
and intervention for students with disabilities.
2. Explain leading theories in reading and how they relate to effective reading instruction and
intervention for students with disabilities.
3. Identify logical scope and sequence of reading instruction and intervention for students with

4. Plan and adapt reading instruction and interventions for students with disabilities based on
initial and ongoing assessment data.
