Course Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate adequate (meta)linguistic skills necessary to provide effective reading instruction and intervention for students with disabilities.
2. Explain leading theories in reading and how they relate to effective reading instruction and intervention for students with disabilities.
3. Identify logical scope and sequence of reading instruction and intervention for students with disabilities based on knowledge of typical and atypical reading development.
4. Evaluate reading curriculum for essential reading elements.
