Course Learning Outcomes
1. Recognize and demonstrate appropriate restraint, physical exams, and procedures in a variety of animal species.
2. Identify the steps of a specialized physical exam of the respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and reproductive systems.
3. Describe basic diagnostic procedures and therapeutic skills in respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and reproductive systems.
4. Integrate basic surgical techniques and principles to perform basic procedures.
5. Recognize basic anatomical structures using radiology and ultrasound imaging of the respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and reproductive systems.
6. Identify the cell type and tissue of the respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and reproductive systems on histopathology slides
7. Recognize and compare the common diagnostic assays available.
8. Morphological diagnoses, recall steps of a field necropsy.
