Course Learning Outcomes

1. Identify the interplays between oceanography, physiology, and ecology as disciplines and how they relate to patterns of life in the oceans.
2. Articulate the fundamental concepts in marine biology, and how we obtain knowledge about the oceans.
3. Explain how our activities impact marine ecosystems and the organisms that inhabit them.
4. Develop a sound understanding of the scientific method, and how it relates to knowledge generation.
5. Critically interpret written and graphical information to draw conclusions for themselves.
