Course Learning Outcomes
As a result of taking this course, student will have a strong understanding of the purpose of autoethnography in research, various ways to use it as a holist or partial approach to research methodology, and how to contextualize it within research and methodology literature.
Students will gain a strong understanding of different approaches to autoethnography including analytical, critical, and evocative autoethnography, and be able to evaluate the quality of the autoethnographies they read in the future.
Students also will gain confidence in crafting their own autoethnographies as part of their research goals.
