TEAL 4760 - Foundations of ESL/Bilingual Education 3
Explores sociocultural and historical contexts in which ESL/bilingual education has developed in the U.S. Addresses structures and purposes of ESL classes, sheltered instruction, bilingual education, and dual-language immersion, as well as diverse student populations these programs intend to reach. Additional coursework will be required for students desiring TEAL 6760 graduate credit.
Prerequisite/Restriction: Admission into a teacher education program.
