SPED 5110 - Social and Psychological Implications of Visual Impairments

This course explores attitudes and beliefs related to visual impairment and blindness, emphasizing the impact of vision loss on the psychosocial functioning of individuals and their families. Students study self-concept, self-esteem, and strategies to enhance these areas in visually impaired children.

Prerequisite(s): SPED 5010 SPED 5070 SPED 5105 SPED 5140 SPED 5170 , and SPED 5180 ; with a grade of B- or higher; Teacher Education and Special Education program admission
