SPED 5110 - Social and Psychological Implications of Visual Impairments 2 credit(s)
This course explores attitudes and beliefs related to visual impairment and blindness, emphasizing the impact of vision loss on the psychosocial functioning of individuals and their families. Students study self-concept, self-esteem, and strategies to enhance these areas in visually impaired children.
Prerequisite(s): SPED 5010 , SPED 5070 , SPED 5105 , SPED 5140 , SPED 5170 , and SPED 5180 ; with a grade of B- or higher; Teacher Education and Special Education program admission
