NOTES: The highest Quantitative Literacy (MATH, QL) for this degree is STAT 1040: Introduction to Statistics (QL)  or STAT 1045: Introduction to Statistics with Elements of Algebra (QL)  or STAT 2000: Statistical Methods (QI)  or AP STAT with passing grade. Please note: students who are planning to go on to graduate school or need certain Chemistry and/or Physics courses may also need MATH 1050 or higher. Consult with your advisor.

Health Education and Promotion Core Requirements (34-36 credits)


A grade of C- or better is required in all HEP-prefix courses required for the major. A 2.75 overall GPA is required for admittance and graduation from the major. Major coursework may not be taken pass/fail, including professional development electives. In addition to the core requirements, any course in statistics is a prerequisite for the program. Please note: MATH 1050  or higher may be necessary for students planning to take certain chemistry and/or physics courses or intending to go on to graduate school.
