About This Degree
A degree in Recreation Administration (RAM) is a valuable asset for those interested in pursuing careers in recreation and leisure. The degree provides four different emphasis options for students to choose from that wish to pursue careers in Sport Management, Public Recreation, Outdoor Adventure Leadership, or Program and Event Management.
Program and Event Management Emphasis: The Program and Event Management track is perfect for those looking to take their careers to the next level in the exciting world of conferences, events, and recreation. With a focus on developing the skills and knowledge needed to excel in managerial positions, this track offers a unique blend of classes that cover everything from general Recreation Administration to specialized courses in the field

Minimum University Requirements
Admission Requirements For This Program
- New freshmen: Admitted to USU in Good Standing
- Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU: 2.0 overall GPA
Major Requirements
- Students are required to earn a C or better grade in all required RAM-prefix courses.
- Pass/Fail grading is not allowed for required major courses, excluding RAM 2250 .
- A 2.0 overall GPA and a 2.5 major coursework GPA is required for graduation.
Core Required Courses (48 required credits)
Must earn a grade of C or better in all the required RAM-prefix courses and maintain 2.5 GPA in major coursework. Required Electives (3 credits total)
Complete at least one of the following, totaling 3 credits minimum. Open Electives (0-41 estimated credits)
Total elective credit is determined by General Education courses taken, degree type selected, additional credits earned, and any additional math or other prerequisite courses needed. Please consult your Academic Advisor for details. |
