About this Degree
The MAcc degree in the School of Accountancy at the Huntsman School of Business helps students accelerate their professional opportunities and personal development by exposing them to richer, real-world problem-solving, critical thinking, and oral and written communication applications, while developing a deeper technical understanding of graduate-level accounting concepts. Beginning July 1, 2026, the MAcc degree reduces the accounting experience required in Utah for CPA licensure (from two years to one year).
The MAcc program enjoys strong recruiting relationships with dozens of employers, including the Big Four, regional, and local accounting firms as well as companies and government agencies.
