Students must complete 30 articulated or advisor‑approved technical credits. These credits may come from a Utah Technical College certificate, a USU certificate of proficiency/completion, or equivalent coursework or training verified in consultation with an academic advisor. These credits usually represent the first year of the degree.
After fulfilling the 30‑credit technical foundation, students complete 10 credits in the Technology Systems emphasis to build on their applied skills.
