NOTES:
Following is a sample, generic plan for a student who is just beginning to study the Russian language.
Students with higher language proficiency and prior language experience, Bridge program participants, and those who test out of lower-division language courses at USU, may potentially complete degree requirements much faster.
Contact the Department of World Languages & Cultures for proficiency and placement testing in Russian and 50+ other languages, including other Slavic languages.
The department offers some accelerated language courses at the beginning and intermediate levels (course combines coverage of course and course content; and course combines coverage of course and course content at an accelerated pace)
Several language or linguistics courses in the department offer Communications Intensive (CI) or Depth Humanities and Creative Arts (DHA) attributes.
Specific plans for each student will differ. Below is just a suggested possible plan.
