AI and Writing - Certificate

1. Career and Self-Development: Students will gain knowledge and experience with a wide range of emerging Al technologies, while also learning how to network and build relationships within and across different disciplines.
2. Communication: Students will communicate information, ideas, facts, and perspectives clearly and effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside of organizations and communities.
3. Critical Thinking: Students will think critically about the concept of Al across genres, professions, and contexts. Additionally, students will learn to identify and respond to issues based on an understanding of situational context and careful analysis of relevant information.
4. Professionalism: Students will understand and demonstrate effective work habits and act in the interests of their larger professional communities. In addition to coursework which explicitly examines professional dynamics through the study of Al, this certificate will require students to develop and complete projects in which they apply and expand on the knowledge and skills gained in the three courses.

Teamwork: The certificate fosters teamwork by enabling students to find connections and avenues for collaboration across different disciplinary skillsets, knowledges, and methods to establish shared understandings of how Al operates in society and develop effective strategies for using Al in the workplace.
